“When Pilate saw that he could prevail nothing, but that rather a tumult was made, he took water, and washed his hands before the multitude, saying, I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it” Matthew 27:24
While Law makers write laws in a Country or State, for their citizens to follow and render justice, several thousand years ago God wrote the Laws for the children of Israel to follow, and to render justice to the afflicted ones, in the land of Israel. Render justice and honor the LORD.

When Pontius Pilate, the Governor of the Province, where Jesus was a citizen, was judging His case found that the Lord was innocent; he should have rendered justice instead of escaping from doing it. However, when Pilate boasted saying that he had the power to release or put Jesus to death, the Lord said to him that he had no power over Jesus, and could not do anything to Jesus unless such power to execute Him was given from above.

Without knowing the divine purposes that the Father was fulfilling in His Son, Lord Jesus, Pilate washed his hands before the multitude saying ”I am innocent of the blood of this just person: see ye to it”.

In His own statement the governor acknowledged that Jesus was innocent, and he washed his hands absolving himself from his response handing over Jesus to the people to do injustice.
